Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan (The Educational Journal) is a double-blind peer reviewed journal on Education published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan welcomes and accepts qualified original research papers about education which are written by researchers, academicians, professionals, and practitioners from all over the world. This journal is published twice a year. Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan has already had registration numbers of p-ISSN: 2442-6377 and e-ISSN: 2721-3595 issued by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). Al-Tarbiyah journal was inactive during 2016-2018. In 2019 this journal started continuing the publication of Volume 29.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kompetensi guru IPA dalam menggunakan media video interaktif, dan (2) pengaruh media pembelajaran terhadap peningkatkan hasil belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran dengan yang tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran pada konsep sistem pencernaan manusia.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif Quasi Experimental Design dengan bentuk pretest-post test control grup design, dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Random Sampling. Sedangkan sampelnya adalah semua guru IPA, siswa kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan angket dan tes. Analisis data menggunakan software SPSS V 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa:  (1) kompetensi guru IPA dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran sangat baik dan (2) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol dengan nilai Sig, 0,007 < 0,05 melalui Uji Mann Whitney. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi guru IPA dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran   untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sudah sangat baik dan efektif.Kata kunci: Kompetensi Guru,  Media Pembelajaran, Hasil Belajar  AbstractThis research aimed at knowing: (1) teachers’ competence to use interactive video media and (2) the influence of the learning media towards the improvement of learning outcome between students using learning media and those that were not, in human digestive system concept. This study used a Quasi Experimental Design with control group design for the pretest and post test, and the sample were taken by using Purposive Random Sampling technique. The sample was all teachers of natural sciences subject, the students of Class VIII A as an experimental class and the students of Class VIII B as a control class. The data collecting techniques used questionnaires and tests. The data analysis used was SPSS V 24 software. The results of the study show that: (1) the competence of natural science teachers to use the learning media is very good and (2) there is a significant difference in students’ learning outcome between the experimental and control classes with the Sig value of 0.007 < 0.05 done through Mann Whitney test. It can be summarized that the competence of natural science teachers to use the learning media has already been good and effective. Keywords: Teachers’ Competence, Learning Media, Learning Outcome

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap secara mendalam tentang penerapan pembelajaran akidah akhlak secara kontekstual di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Manbaul Ulum. Metode penelitian ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi mendalam dan dokumentasi. Tehnik analisis ditempuh melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penampilan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa pembelajaran kontekstual pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak yang berada di kelas IX MTs Pondok Pesantren Manba’ul ‘Ulum sudah diterapkan oleh guru pengampu dengan cukup baik melalui metode bermain peran. Hasil dari penerapan ini telah menimbulkan proses pembelajaran yang kondusif sehingga memudahkan sang guru untuk menyampaikan materi yang disampaikan dan siswa menerima materi pembelajaran dengan cukup baik.Kata kunci: akidah akhlak, guru, kontekstual  AbstractThis study aimed at revealing deeply the application of Akidah Akhlak contextual learning in Islamic Junior High School of Manba'ul ‘Ulum boarding school. The research method was descriptive qualitative. Research instruments were in-depth interviews, in-depth observations, and documentation. Analysis techniques were conducted through data collection, data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The results of the study show that Akidah Akhlak contextual learning in grade IX of Islamic Junior High School of Manba'ul Ulum boarding school is implemented quite well by the teachers through the role-playing method. The results of this implementation has led to a conducive learning process making it easier for teachers to deliver the materials and students to absorb the learning materials quite well.Keywords: akidah akhlak, teacher, contextual

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap tentang sejauhmana pengaruh manajemen kelas terhadap hasil belajar siswa pendidikan Agama Islam kelas IV Ali bin Abi Tholib di Madrasah Hidayatus Shibyan Kabupaten Cirebon. Jenis penelitian ialah kuantitatif korelasional dengan pengumpulan datanya melalui angket, dokumentasi lapangan, dan wawancara. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa berlandaskan hasil pengujian terhadap 17 peserta didik, diketahui bahwa pengaruh manajemen kelas kurang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam peserta didik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil perhitungan korelasi menunjukan bahwa variable x dan y terdapat peningkatan yang tidak berlawanan arah.  Meskipun hasil perhitungan korelasi rendah, tetapi antara varibel x dan y memiliki hubungan yang saling mempengaruhi. Hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari perhitungan tes yang hasilnya 23% persen siswa adalah tergolong predikat sangat rendah. Dengan demikian hipotesis kerja ditolak dan hipotesis nol diterima.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, korelasi, manajemen kelas,  AbstractThe purpose of this study was to reveal the extent to which the influence of classroom management on the learning achievement of Islamic religious education of Ali bin Abi Tholib four graders in Madrasa Hidayatus Shibyan Cirebon Regency. The type of the research was correlational quantitative in which the data collection was conducted through questionnaires, field documentation, and interviews. The results show that according to the test results towards 17 students, it is found that that the influence of classroom management is less significant on the learning outcomes of students’ Islamic Religious Education. It is revealed by the result of correlational calculation showing that variables x and y present improvement in an opposite direction.  Although the result of the correlational calculation is low, between variables x and y there is a mutually influential relationship. Students’ learning outcomes can be seen from the calculation of the test showing that 23% percent of students belongs to very low category. Therefore, the working hypothesis is rejected and the null hypothesis is accepted.Keywords: learning achievement, correlation, classroom management

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap secara mendalam tentang motivasi belajar, penggunaan desain dan media pembelajaran di kelas 1 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Salafiyah Kota Cirebon. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan observasi mendalam, wawancara mendalam yang tidak terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penampilan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa kelas 1A MI Salafiyah dalam banyak pembelajaran masih terasa sangat kurang. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran dan desain pembelajaran yang menarik dan bervariasi. Dalam pembelajaran siswa merasakan kejenuhan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hanya sebagian kecil siswa saja yang antusias sampai akhir pembelajaran.Kata kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Desain Pembelajaran, Media Pembelajaran  AbstractThe purpose of this study was to reveal deeply about learning motivation, the use of learning design and media in grade 1 Salafiyah Islamic Junior High School Cirebon City. The research used a qualitative approach. The research instruments were in-depth observation, unstructured in-depth interviews, and documentation. Analysis techniques were performed by collecting data, reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. The results show that learning motivation of the grade 1 students of Salafiyah Islamic Junior High School in a lot of learning is still lacking. It is caused by the lack of use of attractive and varied instructional media and learning designs. Students got bored during the learning. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap secara mendalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Quantun Teaching di Sekolah Dasar Global Madani. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif.  Pengumpulan data melalui observasi mendalam partisipasi pasif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahap, orientasi, pengumpulan data atau eksplorasi, dan analisis dan interpretasi data. Dalam melakukan keabsahan data, penulis menggunakan teknik triangulasi data, triangulasi metode, dan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa pandangan guru-guru mengenai Penerapan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SD Global Madani sudah cukup baik. Sejumlah tahapan dari Quantum Teaching terimplementasikan, yakni suasana yang menyenangkan. Asas utama Quantum Teaching yaitu Bawalah Dunia Kita ke Dunia Mereka dan Antarkan Dunia Mereka ke Dunia Kita. Prinsip-prinsip Quantum Teaching yakni: segalanya berbicara, segalanya bertujuan, pengalaman sebelum pemberian nama, akui setiap upaya, dan apabila layak dipelajari, maka layak pula dirayakan. Demikian pula dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran Tanamkan, Alami, Namai, Demonstrasikan, Ulangi dan Rayakan.  Dalam pelaksanaannya terdapat sejumlah hambatan, namun dapat tertutupi dengan antusias dan upaya guru untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang baik melalui Quantum Teaching. Kata Kunci: pelibatan, penghargaan, kreatifitas Abstract This study aimed to reveal deeply the learning of Islamic Religious Education through the implementation of Quantum Teaching learning model in Global Madani Primary School. The research method was qualitative method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth passive participant observation, indepth interviews, and documentation. The research was done through several stages, including orientation, data collection or exploration, and analysis and interpretation of data. In conducting data validity, the researcher used techniques of data triangulation, method triangulation, and source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the views of Islamic Religious Education teachers regarding Quantum Teaching in the learning of Islamic Religious Education in Global Madani Primary School has been quite well. Some steps in Quantum Teaching were implemented which is the delightful atmosphere. The primary basis of quantum teaching is Bring Their World to Ours and Take Their World to Ours. The principle of Quantum Teaching are: everything speaks, everything is on purpose, experience before giving a name, admit every effort, and if it is worth to be learned, it is worth to be celebrated. There are also learning steps of Grow, Be Natural, Name, Demonstrate, Repeat, and Celebrate. In the implementation, there were several obstacles, but they could be covered with the enthusiasm and efforts of the teachers to create good learning through Quantum Teaching. Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini mengungkap dimensi keteladanan (uswah hasanah) kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah Tsanawiyah 1 Kota Cirebon dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru pendidikan agama Islam. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah observasi mendalam partisipasi pasif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data kredibilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas. Teknik analisis data memakai model analisis interaktif dengan pola berfikir induktif. Dimensi keteladanan kepala madrasah tergambarkan dalam perilaku beliau yang selalu memotivasi guru untuk senantiasa meningkatkan kompetensi masing-masing. Ia senantiasa mendorong guru meningkatkan kompetensinya melalui membaca. Ia sering mengikutsertakan guru dalam mengembangkan keilmuwan. Ia juga mendorong para guru khususnya guru Pendidikan Agama Islam untuk studi lanjut. Ia senantiasa memberikan tugas mengajar sesuai dengan latar belakang keilmuwan guru. Ia juga menjadi teladan dalam beriteraksi dan berkomunikasi (bertutur kata sopan dan santun) serta disiplin.Kata kunci: uswah hasanah, kepemimpinan, kompetensi, guru PAI AbstractThe purpose of this study was to reveal the leadership example (uswah hasanah) of the principal of Islāmic Junior High School 1 Cirebon City in improving the competences of Islamic religious education teachers. The research method was qualitative. The instruments of this study were in-depth passive participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data validity techniques included credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data analysis technique used an interactive analysis model of inductive thinking. The leadership dimension of Islamic Junior High School principal is reflected in his behavior that keeps motivating teachers to improve their own competences.  He keeps supporting teachers to improve their competences through reading. He often involves teachers to develop their area of expertise. He also supports the teachers, especially Islamic religious education teachers to continue their study. He keeps giving teaching duties according to teachers’ expertise background. He also becomes an example in interacting and communicating (speaking politely and courteously) as well as applying discipline. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap secara mendalam kepemimpinan manajerial kepala madrasah tsanawiyah negeri I Kota Cirebon dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, instrumen pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara mendalam, observasi mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis ditempuh melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan penyimpulan data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan konsep kepala MTsN 1 Kota Cirebon dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dilakukan melalui perencanaan yang nyata dan tertuang dalam visi, misi, dan tujuan, dalam menggunakan strategi yang tepat, yakni pemberdayaan sumber daya manusia madrasah, membentuk team work, meminimalisir masalah dan perbaikan berkesinambungan melalui evaluasi program, respon terhadap perubahan, memanfaatkan peluang, menyampaikan gagasan, dan memberikan pertimbangan. Keterampilan manusiawi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan diimplementasikan dalam pemberian motivasi terhadap bawahan dengan mendorong akan pentingnya peningkatan profesi; memberikan penghargaan kepada bawahan terhadap prestasi yang sudah diraihnya; membangun kenyamanan kerja, memberi contoh agar tertanam disiplin, jiwa ikhlas, dan memiliki etos kerja yang baik; bersedia bekerjasama, menciptakan komunikasi yang baik; dan memberi bimbingan dalam menuntaskan tugas dan bisa menyelesaikan persoalan. Keterampilan teknik dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Kepala MTsN 1 Kota Cirebon adalah pengembangan keterampilan siswa, perbaikan kualitas secara berkesinambungan.Kata kunci: kerjasama, keterampilan, kesinambungan, progresifAbstractThis study aimed to reveal deeply the managerial leadership of the headmaster of state Islamic Junior High School I Cirebon City in improving the quality of education. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, in-depth observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data collection, data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The research findings show that the concept skills of the headmaster of State Islamic Junior High School 1 Cirebon City in improving the quality of education are carried out through real planning and is stated in the vision, mission, and purpose in applying the appropriate strategies, which includes human resource empowerment of madrasa, teamwork development, minimizing problems and doing continuous improvement through program evaluation, responding to changes, taking advantage of opportunities, communicating ideas, and giving consideration. The human skills in improving the quality of education were implemented through providing motivation to subordinates by encouraging them about the importance of improving the profession; giving rewards to subordinates for their achievements; building working convenience; giving examples to internalize discipline, sincerity, and a good work ethic; willing to work together; creating good communication; and providing guidance in completing tasks and solving problems. The headmaster’s technical skills to enhance the education quality were conducted through development of students’ skills and sustainable quality improvement.Keywords: cooperation, skills, sustainability, progressive

Abstract

AbstrakPada umumnya mata pelajaran fiqih dipandang sebagai pelajaran yang menjemukan. Hal ini mengakibatkan hasil belajar para peserta didik menjadi rendah. Padahal fiqih merupakan mata pelajaran yang wajib diikuti oleh peserta didik Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap secara mendalam tentang pembelajaran fiqih secara kontekstual di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kota Cirebon. Metode penelitian ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi mendalam partisipan pasif, dan dokumentasi. Tehnik analisis dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data dan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran fiqih di kelas VIII MTsN 1 Kota Cirebon sudah terimplementasi dengan cukup baik. Hal ini dilihat dari upaya guru dalam menekankan pentingnya lingkungan alamiah diciptakan dalam proses belajar. Hasil pembelajaran fiqih secara kontekstual cukup memuaskan yang ditandai dengan prestasi peserta didik dan pemahaman peserta didik yang meningkat dan antusiasme shalat jama’ah dan shalat dhuha. Banyak peserta didik yang hafal surat Yasin dan dzikir serta doa-doa. Proses pembelajaran di kelas dilakukan dengan variasi metode. Dalam materi-materi tertentu, guru juga melakukan refleksi pada akhir pembelajaran. Tahap terakhir pembelajaran ialah penilaian autentik yang dilakukan dengan menilai dan mengukur kemampuan peserta didik secara objektif dan memperhatikan perilaku peserta didik dalam penilaian.Kata kunci: mengkonstruksi, kontekstual, fiqih   AbstractGenerally, the subject of Islamic jurisprudence is a tedious subject. This results in low student learning outcomes. In fact, Islamic jurisprudence is a subject that must be attended by students of Islamic Junior High School. The purpose of this study was to reveal deeply about the contextual learning of Islamic jurisprudence in State Islamic junior high school 1 Cirebon City. The research method was descriptive qualitative. Data collection instruments were carried out through in-depth interviews, in-depth passive participant observation, and documentation. Analysis techniques were carried out through data collection, data reduction, data display and data analysis. The results show that Islamic jurisprudence learning in Class VIII of Junior High School 1 Cirebon city was implemented quite well. It was seen from the teachers’ efforts to emphasize the importance of the natural environment to be created in the learning process. The results of contextual Islamic jurisprudence were quite satisfying which was indicated by increased students' achievement and enthusiasm for congregational and duha prayers. Many students memorize Surah Yasin and dhikr as well as prayers.  The learning process in the classroom was done through varied methods. In certain materials, the teachers also do reflections at the end of learning. The last stage of learning is an authentic assessment which was done by assessing and measuring students’ ability objectively and paying attention to students’ behavior in the assessment. Keywords: construct, contextual, Islamic jurisprudence

Abstract

Abstrak Proses belajar mengajar pada hakikatnya adalah proses komunikasi sebab komunikasi adalah jantung dari proses pembelajaran. Akan tetapi, sejumlah guru ternyata masih banyak kekurangan dalam hal komunikasi interpersonal terhadap motivasi belajar. Padahal berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif adalah faktor penting dalam perkembangan kejiwaan pengirim dan penerima pesan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung komunikasi interpersonal guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei kualitatif dengan purposif sampling. Instrumen untuk pengumpulan data adalah kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal guru berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar para siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan pada prosentase 66,04%. Sementara itu, motivasi belajar siswa adalah 67,78%. Dengan demikian untuk peningkatan motivasi siswa dalam belajar secara baik dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal guru. Kata kunci: Interaksi, Pembelajaran, Kedekatan Abstract Teaching and learning process is basically a communication process because it is the heart of the learning process. However, a number of teachers in reality still lack a lot in terms of interpersonal communication on learning motivation. In fact, based on the research results, effective interpersonal communication is an important factor in the psychological development of the sender and the recipient of the message. The purpose of this study was to determine the direct effect of interpersonal communication of teachers on students’ learning motivation. This research was a qualitative survey research with purposive random sampling. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire. The results of the research show that the teacher's interpersonal communication significantly influences on students' learning motivation. It was indicated by the percentage of 66.04%. Meanwhile, students' learning motivation was 67.78%. Therefore, to increase students’ motivation in learning well can be done by increasing teachers’ interpersonal communication. Abstract

AbstrakKemampuan literasi yang tinggi dapat mendorong perkembangan kearah tingkatan yang lebih tinggi lagi. Oleh karena itu, banyak negara khususnya yang sedang membangun dan berkembang menjadikan literasi sebagai agenda utama pembangunan yang banyak menelan biaya. Signifikasi literasi ternyata belum mampu memberikan kesadaran bagi berbagai pihak yang berkecimpung dalam dunia pendidikan untuk segera bergegas meningkatan penguasaan literasi keilmuan masyarakatnya. Hal tersebut mendorong peneliti untuk melihat dan menganalisis kegiatan literasi di lingkungan Sekolah Menengah Atas di Karesidenan Pekalongan, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan fokus utama penelitian ini adalah gerakan literasi sekolah yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 2 Slawi yang berada di Kabupaten Tegal. Penelitian melibatkan 50 siswa kelas XII SMA, yang terdiri dari 25 siswa kelas XII IPA dan 25 siswa kelas XII IPS.Sumber data penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi, hasil angket dan persepsi guru dan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di SMA Negeri 2 Slawi, sekolah tersebut belum melaksanakan kegiatan literasi sekolah. Karena tidak semua siswa dan gurunya mengetahui gerakan tersebut. Akan tetapi minat membaca dan menulis siswanya sudah cukup baik.Kata Kunci        : Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, Literasi Keilmuan, Studi Kasus AbstractHigh literacy skills can encourage development towards higher levels. Therefore, many countries, especially those that are growing and developing, make literacy the main agenda of development that costs a lot. The significance of literacy has not been able to provide awareness for various parties involved in the world of education to immediately rush to increase the mastery of scientific literacy of their society. This encourages researchers to see and analyze literacy activities in high school environment in Pekalongan countSy, using qualitative research methods and the main focus of this research is the school literacy movement carried out in 2 Slawi Public High Schools in Tegal Regency. This research involved 50 senior high school students of class XII, consisting of 25 students of class XII IPA and 25 students of class XII IPS. The data sources of this study were documentation, questionnaire results and perceptions of teachers and students. Based on the results of observations in SMA 2 Slawi, the school has not implemented school literacy activities. Because not all students and teachers know the movement however students interest in reading and writing students is quite good.Keywords: School Literacy Movement, Scientific Literacy, Case Study
